Erasing memory ...

(Reflections on the theme of Chapter Beshalach. We used the theme of the book Schlawe Sulyam)

Selfless observance of the commandments related to the fact that a man brings joy to their execution itself - because of the greatness of who gave them. That is, he gets pleasure from what is Great. But as the greatness of the Creator is hidden from us, we must always exalt Him in their eyes. But for every action, "balance" for there is a reaction. In this case, the opposition of the ego, is called Amalek, who tries to dissuade us of the greatness (and the present) of the Creator.

The Torah says (Chapter Beshalach) as follows: "And Amalek came and fought with Israel (...) And it was, when Moses held raised his hand (s) *, Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand (s) * Amalek prevailed. " Hands raised Moshe (later supported by Aaron and Hurom) were a "symbol of faith", as the Torah says. Two hands hint at the right and left lines, which work in combination, gives victory over Amalek (i.e. the midline).

In the book of Deuteronomy (chapter Key Tetse) are commanded not forget to erase the memory of Amalek ** from under heaven. This point requires special explanation.

1. Wipe and not forget. Precept contains both active and passive action. That hints at the light and the vessel, giving and getting.

2. Erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven, *** but does not erase completely. The case and the fact that everything in the universe (even Amalek or Hitler the same), is the pure root). But the root of this is hidden behind the "heaven" - that is "abroad" Atsilyut world. Erase the memory from under heaven is in its essence - to fix the quality of Amalek (using faith above reason, working alternately in left and right Lines - in joy and self-analysis).

3. Power Quality Amalek operates only under conditions concealment greatness Creator. That is, "under heaven". A "above the heavens" - when the greatness of the Creator disclosed, can no longer be any doubt in it. And there is no influence of the quality of Amalek. That is the whole fight with Amalek, refers only to the state "under heaven" in hiding. This is another reason why the commandment to erase the memory of Amalek from under the heavens.


* Though it is said in the singular (hand), talking about the two hands. Such a narrative example is not uncommon in Tora (e.g. said "published toad," about frogs penalty, though the set of speech frogs);

** Memory, memories hinted at Reshimot. In this case, the negative "memories" about the expulsion of the light, it's not (to) verie Creator is a result of the expulsion of such. This type of negative sensations called Otiot (letters), as explained in the introduction in Wisdom Kabbalah (Nos. 48-49). And this vessel desires, because the basis of vessels - the lack of light. But the filling of a vessel of light (which is Fix) erases the vessel, because a satisfied desire disappears. So sated meal, is no longer willing to eat. To summarize: "erase memory" here means to correct and fill the vessels of the lower Sephiroth. Or in other words to overcome the distrust of the Creator, which in turn will "rise above the heavens" - a state of correction, called Atsilyut;
